F1 with promotion andrelegation

Promotion and relegation in F1 does sound like a weird idea to me as I can see a team who gets relegated losing millions of pounds like in football and the premiership being the promised land where if you get there and survive you club can quite quickly gain a high status.

Really though this could be a good thing but I do feel points will have to be scored for every position otherwise you could quiote easily have 3 teams scoring no points for the whole season.
